Blaine W. Lindsey, JD, MPH


Capra Health, a comprehensive healthcare reimbursement, regulatory and compliance consulting firm, was founded with the simple goal to help health industry participants succeed in a rapidly-changing healthcare regulatory environment.   While many of Capra Health’s services are provided for hospitals, high-volume practices and other healthcare providers, we also serve an array of other health industry participants sharing the same objective: to survive and thrive in a resource-scarce healthcare marketplace.

Executive Leadership

Blaine W. Lindsey, JD, MPH, serves as President of Capra Health.  Mr. Lindsey is a seasoned healthcare executive and attorney whose experience includes regulatory compliance, reimbursement consulting/appeals and policy analysis for major health industry stakeholders.

Prior to founding Capra Health, Mr. Lindsey served as the Client Services Director for the consulting arm of AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 25 healthcare corporation, in its reimbursement, managed care and health policy practice.   Mr. Lindsey began his career at one of the nation’s most highly-regarded healthcare law practices at a prominent Atlanta, GA law firm before being recruited to join a burgeoning healthcare law group at a major international law firm.

Mr. Lindsey’s experience includes advising all manner of healthcare clients on reimbursement strategy, managed care, policy/government affairs, business development/change of ownership/joint ventures, and regulatory compliance issues.  In addition to subject matter expertise, Mr. Lindsey has client management, project management, and C-suite/executive-level relations experience with all types of health industry participants.  Additionally, he has worked within a state health department by Governor’s appointment and served as an administrative intern at a major teaching hospital, giving him a 360° view of healthcare business.

Mr. Lindsey holds a Juris Doctor, with honors, from Emory University School of Law and an MPH in Health Policy and Management from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health where he was a Chair’s Distinguished Scholar. While in law school, he was Managing Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal and President of the Health Law Society. He was the 2004 Fellow of the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys at the Georgia Hospital Association and received the Georgia Healthcare Financial Management Association O.J. Booker Scholarship Award. He earned his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Mr. Lindsey has been named part of the Emerging Leadership for the New Orleans BioDistrict, has served on the Government Relations Committee for BayBio, was a leader in the Emerging Leadership Network of GeorgiaBio and has frequently presented to conferences and the media on topics surrounding the regulation of the business of healthcare.  In his down time, Blaine enjoys live music, travel, basketball/outdoor sports, and all things New Orleans.
